One app for the whole show. A full DAW to compose music, design sound, build reactive visuals, and run the lights — all on Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

A DAW with hidden depth

Skene opens to a familiar DAW — tracks, clips, a piano roll, and a mixer — with every instrument and effect living in a per-track rack. Anything you can see, you can automate and modulate: every knob, fader, and parameter is a live, performable control.

Skene node graph — instruments, effects, and modulation patched as connected nodes
Underneath — the same project as a live node graph

What you see is a DAW. Open up any device and the same project becomes a node graph, where every parameter is a port you can patch modulation, audio, and control into — the hidden depth behind the timeline.

Every note at your fingertips

A grid of multi-touch note pads built for MPE. Press and hold, then slide a finger sideways to bend the pitch and up or down to sweep the filter cutoff — each note shaped on its own, so chords and leads come alive under your hands.

Built for the stage and the studio

A complete DAW on the surface, with an experimental layer of nodes, visuals, and lighting running underneath — every tool working together in real-time.

Basic
The DAW essentials
Everything you expect from a modern DAW.
MIDI Tracks & Piano Roll
Full MIDI track workflow with a clip-based arranger and piano roll editor. MPE support adds per-note pitch bend, pressure, and Y-axis slide — draw curves directly in the piano roll to shape expression over time.

Audio Tracks
Multi-track audio recording and playback with a clip-based arranger. Process tracks with the full built-in and AUv3 effects library, and set clips to loop or play through once.
AUv3 Plugin Hosting
Load any AUv3 instrument or effect plugin directly into a track. Third-party synths, samplers, and processors sit right alongside Skene’s built-in devices.
AUv3
Built-in Instruments
Analog Synthesizer — 3 oscillator polyphonic synth with MPE support, vocoder, and unison. Analog Drum Synthesizer — classic 70s analog drum machine with per-pad synthesis. Drum Sampler.
Built-in Effects
Freeverb reverb, stereo delay, saturator, compressor, Warm waveshaper, Juno-style chorus, phaser, Neural Amp Modeler for guitar & bass, and a full filter library: ladder, resonant, formant, and Butterworth high/low pass.
MIDI Effects
Per-clip MIDI effect chain with arpeggiator, groove, quantize, and velocity randomizer. Effects animate live in the piano roll as you play, so you can see the pattern as it unfolds.
Tuner & Recorder
Real-time pitch tuner showing detected note and cents deviation. Quick audio recorder for capturing ideas instantly, without stopping your session or leaving the current view.
Cross-Device & iCloud Sync
One project, every device. Native on Mac, iPad, and iPhone, with iCloud sync so you can start a session on one device and pick it up on another exactly where you left off.
Experimental
Beyond the timeline
The node layer, visuals, and lighting that set Skene apart.
Node Graph at the Core
Patch instruments, effects, modulation, visuals, and even lighting as connected nodes. Every parameter is a typed port you can route anything into — LFOs, envelopes, audio levels — including feedback loops a linear rack can’t express.
Node Graph
Live Performance & Scenes
Launch clips and whole scenes on the beat from the Arranger and remix a set as you play. Loop sections live, toggle lights and effects, and add mutators on the fly — all mappable to your hardware controllers via MIDI Learn for hands-on performance.
Live
GPU Visuals
Metal-powered visuals that live in the same graph as your sound. Feed audio and MIDI into shaders, particle systems, and feedback effects for graphics that react to the music in real time.
Visuals
DMX512 Lighting
Drive stage lighting and DMX fixtures — LED bars, moving heads, haze — over Art-Net or USB. A light’s parameters become node ports, so the same signals that shape your sound can shape the room.
