Automation Curves

Automate modwheel, sustain, and any CC over time with editable curves.

Beyond notes, a clip can carry automation curves — global controller data that changes over time.

What you can automate

  • Modwheel (CC 1)
  • Sustain pedal (CC 64)
  • Any other CC value

Draw the curve directly in the editor; the values are sent to the track’s instrument as it plays. For per-note expression (pitch, slide, pressure) rather than channel-wide CCs, use MPE instead.

Automation in loops

By default a looped clip restarts its automation each loop. Turn on Continuous mode to let a curve evolve straight through the loop, adding variation to a repeating part.
