AUv3 Support
Skene hosts Audio Unit (AUv3) instruments and effects as first-class nodes, alongside its built-in devices.
Skene is a full AUv3 host. Audio Unit (version 3) plug-ins installed on your device — third-party synths, samplers, and effects — load directly into Skene and behave like any built-in device.

AUv3 instruments
Load any AUv3 instrument plug-in as the sound source of a track or as a node in the graph. Hosted instruments are patchable alongside Skene’s own instruments, so you can drive them with the piano roll, controllers, MPE, and modulation just like the built-ins.
AUv3 effects
Insert AUv3 audio effect plug-ins anywhere in the signal chain. Mix third-party processors freely with Skene’s built-in effects (delay, reverb, saturator, compressor, filters, and more) in the same instrument rack or node graph.
Where to add them
AUv3 plug-ins appear in the node / device browser next to the built-in components. Add one the same way you add any node — through the Add menu (A) — and patch it into your track.
Skene hosts AUv3 plug-ins. It is a standalone app, not itself an AUv3 extension loaded inside another host.
